Why do some men insist on wearing shorts outdoors despite the fact it is absolutely baltic ?

I bobbed to Asda last night and there were a lot of girls walking around with out jackets bare arms and skimpy tops with bare midriff's My car registered -2Cso it was cold.Is it a fashion statement or is it look at me

A few years ago we had an exchange student from Sweden staying with us over Christmas . One day walking round town dressed sensibly in woolly hats and scarves , she pointed out some scantily clad local girls and asked if they were prostitutes .

I once was transporting two girls from Edinburgh on a night out in Wigan, it was on a freezing cold Saturday night, and they had coats and hats on, and they enquired to me as to why Wigan girls turned out with next to nothing on, as though it was on a hot summers night

On about the weather, this naming of just about every winter storm is doing me head in, the Americans just name hurricanes, so why can we not do the same ?

Why can't Saturday nights storm, be named as the storm of Saturday the 20th January 2024 like they used to do ?

Why do they have to christen the thing ?

The storm kicked off at about 12.30pm and it had a blow, but by 1.00pm it had stopped
